I'm Gene Jolley. Most people call me Lewy. I'm an Air Force veteran, a husband, and a dad, and I have spent more than 30 years in maintenance and reliability work. Part of that was 27 years at a power company in hydro, wind, and thermal generation. I planned maintenance and managed outages, including maintenance planning for a wind facility we built.
That kind of work teaches you one thing above all: follow the process, write everything down, and let the data tell you what is really happening. I trade the same way.
Why this site exists
Most trading content shows the wins and hides the rest. I wanted to see what happens when a normal person with a full-time job and a small account follows a simple set of rules and posts every single trade.
So that is what this site is. The trade journal comes straight from my broker export. Wins, losses, fees, and the trades I wish I hadn't taken are all there.
How I trade
- SPY options that expire the same day, one contract at a time.
- I watch QQQ and market breadth (ADD) to see which way the money is moving.
- Most trades happen in the first hour. Then I get on with my day.
- I stay at one contract until the account is over $500.
Learn. Do. Teach.
I have trained people for most of my career, from technicians on the shop floor to classrooms as a Microsoft Certified Instructor. Teaching is how I make sure I really understand something. This site is me learning in public, then teaching what works.
